We all need to know how we can reduce our impact on the environment and the Environment Agency is here to help - no matter what business you're in.
The Environment Agency is working in partnership with the Astmoor BID and Halton Borough Council to provide FREE pollution prevention advice for a two day blitz between 15th and 16th September. During this time our officers will be on hand to provide help and advice to businesses to help you understand everything you need to know about current regulations. Steve Butler local Environment Officer from the Environment Agency said: "We want to help businesses to understand how they can reduce pollution from their organisations and stay on the right side of the regulations. Our officers will not only be able to provide pollution prevention advice but can also explain legislation like packaging waste regulations, WEEE regulations, Hazardous Waste Regulations, Environmental Permitting Regulations and the correct disposal of waste." To book a FREE appointment please call the Environment Agency on 01925 543484. To report any pollution incidents, contact the Environment Agency's incident hotline on 0800 807060.
