Furniture GiveawayThe great Kawneer furniture give away last Friday proved to be a great success with Astmoor businesses queuing up from well before the start time in order to get their hands on a real bargain.

And it was a good job they did turn up early as all the furniture was snapped up in record time!

“We had people and vehicles queuing when I arrived to open the Unit” said BID Manager Gareth Bennett.  “The quality of the furniture from Kawneer was first class and probably contributed to it being snapped up so quickly” he added.

“I am really pleased that businesses on Astmoor were able to benefit from our furniture given away, and we’re pleased to see it all go to a good home” said John Gummery of Kawneer who is also Chair of the Astmoor Business Steering Group.

Both Gareth and John took the opportunity to thank Mark Williamson from First Investments who provided the Unit on Brindley Road free of charge, to host the event.
