BID Manager Gareth Bennett was on hand with his digital camera recently to capture this attractive photograph of some Marsh Orchids.Gareth was on site to visit a company when he stumbled across this oasis of calm in the area of Arkwright and Brindley Road, close to the boundary with the Daresbury Expressway. “I was carrying out my normal duties when I came across a sea of Marsh Orchids, which really took my breath away. Just for a moment I thought I was somewhere else rather than on an industrial estate! “It seems ironic that at the recent AGM we were talking about ways to improve the image of Astmoor, yet here we are with attractive areas like this” he added. If anybody else has any other photographs of the flora and fauna around Astmoor Industrial Estate, then send them through to Gareth Bennett at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
