A key aim of the Council's Economic Development Strategy is to ensure that local people, particularly those from disadvantaged communities, have the skills to compete for and benefit from the jobs created within the wider economy of Halton.
The need to reduce unemployment across the Borough has resulted in the development of a range of co-ordinated education and training programmes that are designed to assist local people in their efforts to get and to retain jobs locally.
