| Bridge lane closures in September and October |

Please be aware that lane one, southbound, on the Silver Jubilee Bridge and its northern approach will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays, plus Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays for a four-week period from Saturday 20 September until Thursday 16 October.
The closure will be in place from 8am to 6pm at weekends and 9am to 4pm on those weekdays. Delays to southbound traffic are likely
This is necessary to allow a protective wrap to be applied to all 24 hanger cables in the east elevation of the suspended span of the Bridge. The work will be carried out by roped access specialists and for the safety of the workforce and public, has to be undertaken during daylight with a lane closure while high-level work is ongoing. Please note that the work is very weather dependent, and there is a possibility that some closures have to be postponed and the contract period extended. Any changes will be announced as quickly as possible. |
