Astmoor Industrial Estate is one of Halton’s largest employment sites with around 100 businesses employing over 3,300 people.  The estate covers an area of approximately 195 acres and contains around 2.3 million ft2 of primarily industrial space.

Astmoor is located on the south bank of the River Mersey to the north east of Runcorn and located adjacent to the Manchester Ship Canal and equidistant between junctions 11 and 12 of the M56 motorway. It is only 15 minutes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport and 25 minutes from Manchester International Airport.

The estate was constructed in the 1970’s under the direction of the Commission for New Towns.  When Astmoor was built, it was ahead of its time with its provision of a bus way and landscaped surroundings. 

The new Mersey Gateway will have a significant impact upon Astmoor Industrial Estate, and is likely to improve Astmoor’s connectivity.

The industrial estate benefits from the Business Parks Improvement Programme (BPIP), which has formed business-led steering groups and is implementing estate-wide improvements through a jointly agreed action plan.
